Maimuta-100 (parabola)

Un experiment american, din timpul razboiului rece, a incercat sa afle in cat timp se poate repopula o zona bombardata nuclear. Pe una din insulele expuse la radiatii nucleare, dupa doi ani de la experiment, au adus o colonie de maimute. Lucrurile mergeau destul de bine, cu exceptia ca nuca de cocos, alimentul preferat al maimutelor, avea coaja usor radioactiva. Asa ca au luat cateva maimute si le-au dresat sa spele intai nuca de cocos bine, cu apa de mare. Aceste maimute, reintoarse in comunitate, isi spalau nucile de cocos inainte de a le manca. Incet si alte maimute le-au preluat obiceiul. Cateva in prima saptamana, alte cateva in saptamanile urmatoare, si numarul celor care isi spalau nuca de cocos inainte de consum a crescut.

Tot asa, pana cand maimuta 100 a preluat si ea obiceiul, moment in care toate maimutele din colonie au inceput din acea zi sa isi spele nucile de cocos.
